PRE-ORDER ONLY- Dispatching Autumn 2019

A real garden jewel that adds depth & beauty to your autumn & winter alfresco style. Skimmia japonica is a good staple for any garden, low maintenance, evergreen and filled with beauty for at east 6 months, even unto 9 months of the year.

Skimmia is a very accommodating plant, you can add it to the middle of your borders, plant it up into a contemporary slate or grey container for a touch of contrast, place into a wide weave wicker basket for a little winter style or gift... a very versatile plant in both visual aspects and garden aspects.

Skimmia japonica doesn't mind being in a slightly sunny spot or a fairly shaded spot in the garden. A beautiful evergreen shrub that provides interest in the autumn, winter and early spring that attracts late pollinators and giving shelter to small birds or mammals throughout the year. A wonderful glossy bottle green foliage that acts as a good backdrop for summer flowering plants too.

Deep red flower buds (very berry-like) are held throughout the autumn & winter, opening up into pretty little creamy-white flowers in the spring.

After Care Tip: Plant in ericaceous compost and keep topped up in the spring and autumn with ericaceous compost or feed to ensure the plant stays looking healthy & happy
